Everything you need to feel at home on the hill — how your house works, trusted local trades, bin days, schools, shops and the little things that make Enniscorthy home. For the people who live here, and the people about to.
Made by neighbours, for neighbours — a community project run by the residents of Greenhill.
Greenhill sits in Clonhaston, a settled residential pocket of Enniscorthy — one of Wexford's most picturesque and historic towns, wrapped around the River Slaney beneath its Norman castle and Vinegar Hill.
You're a few minutes' walk from the shops, schools, cafés and the riverside, and just three minutes from the M11 for a straight run to Dublin, Wexford and Rosslare. It's the best of both: a calm estate to come home to, a real town on your doorstep.
This site is your welcome pack and neighbourhood handbook rolled into one — kept up to date for everyone living at Greenhill and everyone about to move in.
These are superior-built, warm, efficient homes designed to be lived in — not just looked at. Here's what's behind the walls and how to get the best from it.
Fully insulated, superior-built timber-frame homes — fast to warm up, excellent at holding heat, and quiet. Covered by the 10-year HomeBond Guarantee Scheme.
No more gas or oil bills. A highly efficient Panasonic air-to-water heat pump delivers constant hot water and a steady, comfortable temperature throughout the house.
A Building Energy Rating of A2, thanks to the heat pump plus a high level of insulation and air-tightness. Fully NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Buildings) compliant.
Every home is finished internally in Dulux Pure Brilliant White — an easy-to-match, easy-to-maintain finish. Keep a note of it for touch-ups (see the Knowledge Base below).
Greenhill has grown into a genuinely friendly, settled community of neighbours who look out for one another — with an established residents' Facebook group and WhatsApp group. More in the Neighbours section below.
Homes are wired for fibre broadband, so remote working and streaming are covered from day one. See the Knowledge Base for local providers.
Greenhill is home to families who've moved here from all over — from around Ireland and further afield — and it has the warm, welcoming feel to match. Neighbours know each other, look out for each other, and there's always something going on.
An established residents' Facebook group and a WhatsApp group keep everyone in the loop — local news, recommendations, lost-and-found, and a hand when you need one.
A regular Greenhill kickabout is already up and running — a friendly game and a great way to meet the neighbours, all ages and abilities welcome.
Neighbours meet up for runs and evening walks along the Slaney and around the estate — an easy, sociable way to keep active with company.

MapAlerter delivers straight to you — there's no public feed, so those alerts can't be shown on this page.
Headlines link straight to the publisher. Greenhill isn't the source and doesn't host their articles.

All internal walls and ceilings are finished in Dulux Pure Brilliant White. It's a standard, widely-stocked shade, so touch-ups are easy — pick it up in most hardware shops or paint merchants in Enniscorthy. For woodwork, a white satinwood or eggshell in the same tone works well. Keep a small tin for scuffs and nail holes.
Your home has a Panasonic air-to-water heat pump instead of gas or oil. It works best running low and steady rather than being switched on and off. Set a comfortable target temperature (around 20–21°C) and let it maintain it. There's a hot-water cylinder for showers and taps — set it to heat on a timer for the times you need it. Radiators/underfloor will feel warm rather than hot, which is normal and efficient. Avoid turning individual radiator valves fully off in rooms you use.
Homes are wired for fibre. Providers serving Enniscorthy include Eir, Vodafone, Sky, Virgin Media, Digiweb and Pure Telecom — availability depends on the infrastructure to your door. Check offers against your Eircode on each provider's site, or compare on bonkers.ie.
You can choose any Irish supplier — Electric Ireland, Bord Gáis Energy, SSE Airtricity, Energia, Pinergy, Flogas and others. With an all-electric A2 home (heat pump, no gas), look at plans suited to higher electricity use and consider a smart/night-rate tariff to heat water and charge devices cheaply overnight. Compare on bonkers.ie or switcher.ie. To set up, you'll need your MPRN (on the meter/ESB paperwork) and a meter reading.
Greenhill is served by three operators: AES (Mondays), Panda (Wednesdays, plus some Fridays) and Ray Whelan (Thursdays, plus some Mondays). Each rotates general waste, recycling and compost — see the day-by-day breakdown in the Bins section above. You can also set an Eircode reminder on BinDay.ie.
Every Greenhill home is covered by the 10-year HomeBond Guarantee Scheme. In the first period after moving in, snags and defects relating to the build should be reported to the developer — contact the site foreman, Charlie on 086 889 8562, in the first instance. Keep your closing pack, appliance manuals and warranty documents together in one folder.
Manuals for your heat pump, cylinder, oven, hob, extractor and any supplied appliances are in your handover pack. Lost one? Manuals are almost always downloadable free as a PDF from the manufacturer's website by searching the model number (found on a sticker on the appliance). Store them digitally so they're always to hand.
If you'd like a monitored alarm, national and local installers cover Enniscorthy — get two or three quotes and check they're PSA-licensed and offer 24hr monitoring. For everyday peace of mind, smart doorbells and standalone wifi cameras are a low-cost first step. Neighbours looking out for each other is the best security of all — consider a residents' WhatsApp group.
